GRAMMAR PRESENT SIMPLE


PRESENT SIMPLE



Present Simple
We use the present simple to express habits, facts, thoughts and feelings. It is also used with general statements and actions that are repeated. It is formed with the base form of the verb, except the third person singular where you have to add an "s".
NOTE:


1.- es after - s / - ch / - sh


Examples: passes - watches - finishes
2.- ies if there is a consonant before the y there is a consonat
Examples: study - studies / carry - carries / but play - plays

3.-ies if there is a consonant before the y but before there is a vowel
only add  S 
Examples: buy/ buys- play/ plays
4.- ES after- o
 Examples: do - does / go - goes /
5.- have - has
conjuge estos verbs

Work- tell, give, find, use, look, want, come, see, take, think, know, make, get, go, say, do, have, be
 
 Key words for PRESENT SIMPLE : often, always, never, every day, month,..., usually, sometimes, generally, normally, rarely, seldom, whenever, on Mondays, Tuesdays,...

COMPLETE THE SENTENCES WITH VERB PRESENT SIMPLE
1.       My sister-------------------------- (read) a book.

2.       Put the sentences into the negative form. Use short forms (doesn't, don't, isn't,...)
